Goal: By the end of the course, students will be able to describe and apply sociotechnical interventions that improve health and well being.
Technical Expertise Expectations: We assume students with varying levels of technical expertise will take the class. Students will work in interdisciplinary teams for larger projects.
Students who complete the course should be able to:
Discuss past, ongoing, and emerging research in health informatics.
Summarize health informatics research conducted at Indiana University.
Give examples of the skills and practices necessary to collaborate with medical researchers.
Recognize intra-, inter-, and transdisciplinary research.
Design and evaluate health related assistive and performance support applications
